Is there any way to change the location where ExpressPCB stores its custom PCB, SCH and SYM components. It seems as though it stores it's own components in a sub-directory of the install directory but the custom ones get stored in a folder within my My Documents folder. This is NOT the way I like to maintain my system. I have tried changing the location using the Options > Misc route. Perhaps I do not understand what is going on and should leave well enough alone.

Any enlightenment will be appreciated.

Vic

I believe that the software's developers changed the location to be compliant with some Windows Vista certification requirement (or something like that). In any event, if you go to the Misc tab of the Options dialog accessed via the View menu, you'll find a place to change it. However, if you're using Vista, attempts to change the location may be futile.

See the thread at the ExpressPCB Yahoo Group for more information.
