There is a new installer available on the Downloads Page for the latest release of the ZBasic compiler, IDE, ZX Library and documentation.

The new version includes support for ZBasic Object Extensions as well as support for serial channel flow control among other things. See the summary of changes for the compiler for more information.

Note that the v3.0 ZX Library (included in the updated installer) is required for the new compiler release. In contrast, updating your VM is required only if serial channel flow control will be used or if the other minor VM changes are needed.

The Oak Micros devices have also been upgraded to version 3.0.0. If you have a native mode device (ZX-328nu, ZX-24nu, ZX-128ne, ZX-1281ne, or ZX-24ne), then there is nothing more to do except download the 3.0.0 update package and rebuild your code with the 3.0.0 library.

If you have a ZVM based device (ZX-24pu, ZX-128e, ZX-1281e, ZX-24pe, ZX-24ae, or ZX-24e), then you can download the v3.0.0 ZVM firmware from our firmware upgrade page.
