An interesting concept has popped up on my radar. I have been reading about Microsoft's .NET Micro Framework. If I understand it, NETMF was designed for embedded systems. It has been implemented for an ARM processor by TinyCLR:

One can develop applications using C# using Visual C# 2008 Express Edition.
I would be interested in hearing your take on this puppy. |

Oh good. We need .NET framework on $5 microprocessors!
C# is essentially proprietary to Microsoft. |

It is NOT .NET Framework, its .NET Micro Framework and it has been implemented on the FEZ Domino ($75). And so what if C# is proprietary to Microsoft?
I am not advocating the product. As I stated in the OP, it POPPED up on my radar and I thought it interesting enough to post here. If I was wrong to do so, I apologize. I don't want to start a war!
