I snooped around to see if anyone else has brought this up before and came up empty.

I am interested in what other people have done to optimize the control of stepper motors in Zbasic. Varying speed, multiple motors at once, coexistence with other running tasks, simplest approach, conflicts, timing, pitfalls, etc.

Thinking of using a microcontroller to interpret P-code commands and drive a small 4-axis (X/Y/Z/rotation) CNC milling machine project.

Planning on using ball screw drive to simplify backlash compensation.
