I use Firefox at work and for some reason I can't log-in onto the website. If I use Explorer, then I can do so, but not with Firefox. When I log-in with my user name and password, then hit the log-in button, then I just stay at the log-in page. If I then navigate to a forum and try to reply or create a new thread, I am taken back to the log-in page.

Other websites that require log-in seem to work OK for me in Firefox.

Any suggestions?

Which login - the forum or the store? What is the version of FireFox? It is shown in the About dialog along with the Mozilla version number.

There appears to be a problem with some code that we recently added that forces the Forum login to be done using HTTPS protocol rather than cleartext. As a temporary workaround, you may be able to bypass this by going directly to the login page http://www.zbasic.net/forum/login.php It may also work to use the "Log In" link at the top of the page.

It is the forum login. Firefox version 3.6.8., but I had the same trouble for a couple of months when I had earlier versions.

I did not try this because it seems that I eventually solved it. I have firefox set to accept cookies, but then to delete them when Firefox closes. So I had not thought that it could be a cookie problem. But, I looked around for the list of cookies and found the ZBasic.net entry with a few cookies in it. I deleted those cookies and then I could login properly again!

It is found in Tools->Options->Privacy->Show Cookies->zbasic.net

I just deleted the whole zbasic.net list and that fixed the problem.

Sorry to bother you with something I should have tried before asking...
