Mouser now stocks the ST M95512 64KB SPI EEPROM in SOIC-8 and TSSOP-8. I've tested it with both the ZX-40 and ZX-40a.
EDIT: In December 2006 Mouser listed these as stock with a minimum order quantity of 1. I bought 100 at $1.67 each. In March 2007, they list them as non-stock with a minimum order quantity of 2500. Oh well. Crying or Very sad
