| In order to compile code for the ZX-1281 (as well as the ZX-128e and ZX-1281e) the newest version of the compiler, v2.1, is required. |

Just to be clear, your best bet is to download the new 2.1 Installer as it also contains the documentation updates for new system routines and guidelines on using resources for all the devices including ZX-128e, ZX-1281 and ZX-1281e. |

Not much. An obscure optimization problem was fixed and an API for entering command mode was added (currently undocumented). The v2.1 VM (available for download) is required for the latter capability. |
