here's the ZX-24 as a custom component for use with Express PCB's schematic drawing tool (freeware).

If someone has a better one, please upload.

Might be nice to have a CAD section on this board in which all these kinds of things are placed.

Note: In this upload, I didn't number the 7 pads on the ZX-24 that aren't pins because I haven't found the numbering vs. the PCB artwork.

Steve,

I like you custom component. I have been using one of my own design for my stuff. I like the way you handled the "extra" lines. Do you actually attach a connector to them? I have always used molex type connectors for wire-to-board interfacing and will give your idea a try in my upcoming project. I might put the names of the signals on the seven holes though.

I endorse your idea of a repository for ExpressPCB custom components. Having one just might save some of us a bit of time.

Thanks for sharing.

Vic

I've not yet had a need to use the extra connections on the ZX's PCB.

Re Eagle. Twice now I've tried to learn it but I run out of patience after a couple of sessions. It seems so counter-intuitive. I do wish Express PCB did copper pours (fills).
