VM upgrade issue

My ZX-24 still has version 1.1.6 of the VM. When I try to upgrade, for example to the new 2.1.0 code base, I get:

Unexpected device response - 0x00, record 0.
Unexpected device response - 0x00, record 0.
Unexpected device response - 0x00, record 0.
Unexpected device response - 0x00, record 0.
Unexpected device response - 0x00, record 0.
Unexpected device response - 0x00, record 0.
Retry limit exceeded, aborting update.


When I attempt to use the emergency upgrade procedure, it skips the unexpected response and goes straight to the retry limit message.

Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

This problem pops up from time to time and we don't yet know what circumstances lead to the problem.

The best solution is to send you a new device and then get yours back so we can study it.
