This prototyping kit make it simple to breadboard your home automation, industrial control, robotics or other embedded systems project using a ZX-40 or ZX-40a. The circuit board is designed to be plugged into a solderless breadboard or it can be wired into a circuit. See this example of the assembled interface board plugged into a proto board with a ZX-40. Although the photo shows the board assembled with a socket for the EEPROM, no socket is included in the interface kit.
This kit includes the following parts:
1 circuit board
a strip of 0.1" SIP sockets
a strip of 0.1" square pins
1 - ST232 level converter IC
1 - 25AT256A EEPROM
7 - 10K resistors
5 - 0.1uF capacitors
2 - 0.01uF capacitors
2 - 27pF capacitors
1 - 10uH inductor
1 - 14.7456MHz crystal
1 - 2N3904 NPN transistor
You may wish to refer to the ZX-40 Interface Module Reference Manual (HTML) (also available in PDF form) for more details on the assembly and use of this kit.
