ZX Microcontrollers Powered by ZBasic |
We offer several different
microcontrollers to meet a
variety of needs. The ZX-24a
and ZX-24p are 24-pin
DIP "Stamp" format devices
that are pin compatible with
the Basic Stamp 2 and BX-
24. The ZX-40a and ZX-40p
are 40-pin DIP devices that
are easy to use in
prototypes. The ZX-44a and
ZX-44p are 44-pin TQFP
devices primarily intended for
volume production. And, for
applications requiring more
I/O, RAM and other resources,
we offer the ZX-1281 and ZX-1280.
For more demanding
applications, we offer
the "native mode" devices:
ZX-24n, ZX-40n and ZX-44n.
These devices are pin
compatible with their VM-
mode counterparts and are
also largely source code
compatible. Because they run
native object code for the
processor, the execution
speed is significantly faster.
Moreover, with native mode
devices it is possible to write
interrupt handler code and to
use inline assembly code
when necessary. Similarly,
the ZX-1281n and ZX-1280n are
the native mode versions of
the high capacity
microcontrollers. |
